Leslie Gamber (Owner)

Welcome to The Professional Dance Company, where the art of dance comes to life under the guidance of Leslie Gamber, an accomplished dancer, teacher, and choreographer. With a journey that started at the humble age of 2 ½, Leslie's lifelong love for dance has progressed into a vibrant career dedicated to nurturing the talents of young dancers.

Leslie's formative years were spent under the esteemed direction of Gerri Stretz-Meyer and Yvonne Meyer-Hare at the Professional Dance Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Eagerly diving into the world of dance competitions and conventions from the age of 4, Leslie's passion and skill evolved alongside her experiences. Her commitment to the craft was further evident as she took on the role of assistant teacher, exemplifying her dedication to both her own growth and the development of others.

The depth of Leslie's training is mirrored in the master classes she has taken, learning from industry leaders such as Tony Parise, Mike Minery, Gregory Fuller, Jeff Hancock, Kyle Coffman, and Mark Goodman, among others. Notably, Leslie lent her talents to private events as a hostess, dancer, and entertainer, drawing from the guidance of Mary Strauss from St. Louis' iconic Fabulous Fox Theater.

Her academic pursuit of dance led Leslie to Oklahoma City University (OCU), where she graduated with a degree in Dance Performance.  Leslie was an integral part of OCU's American Spirit Dance Company, appearing in annual productions like "Home for the Holidays" and the captivating Spring Shows.

Post-graduation, Leslie's artistic journey naturally transitioned into teaching and choreography. Her choreographic prowess garnered regional accolades, including the coveted MOVE award from the Soul de Soul dance convention. She has become a nationally award winning choreographer, with performances from her competitive dancers winning the highest overall awards in National competitions.  As the driving force behind The Professional Dance Company, Leslie passionately imparts her expertise, nurturing young dancers and shaping them into confident artists.

With each step she takes, Leslie Gamber infuses her dance instruction with a unique blend of experience, skill, and boundless passion. Her unwavering commitment to fostering talent and sharing the joy of dance defines The Professional Dance Company's spirit. As we continue to cultivate the next generation of dancers, Leslie remains at the helm, steadfast in her dedication to the art form she holds dear.
